Sachin Ambekar brings a rich academic and professional background to SSDS. A gold medalist from Gujarat University, he pursued advanced studies at CEPT University, specializing in furniture design, and further broadened his global perspective as an exchange student in Switzerland.
His professional journey began at Studio PKA, Mumbai, under the mentorship of Ar. Puran Kumar, where he successfully led projects for Dow Jones, Studio PKA, and S&R Associates. With over two years of hands-on experience in diverse residential and corporate interiors, Sachin has honed his expertise in project management, cost control, and material innovation.
A designer with an innate passion for simple and timeless spaces, he designed his own home at just 22, embodying his philosophy of blending creativity with functionality through collaborative and thoughtful design.
Sanjana Samel
Co-Founder | Architect | Asst. Professor
Sanjana Samel brings a wealth of academic excellence and international experience to the forefront of architectural and interior design. With a strong foundation in architecture from the University of Pune (B.Arch, 2008–2013), she pursued a specialized Master’s degree in Interior Architecture and Design at the prestigious C.E.P.T. University (2014–2016). Her global perspective was further enriched during an exchange semester at Hochschule für Technik Stuttgart, Germany.
A firm believer in sustainable and performance-driven design, Sanjana recently completed an advanced certification in Zero-Energy Design from T.U. Delft Extension School (Netherlands), where she gained cutting-edge expertise in validating building energy performance.
In 2024, she was accredited as an IGBC Accredited Professional, reflecting her commitment to green building principles and environmental responsibility.
Beyond her academic accolades, Sanjana is known for blending intuitive design with functional innovation. As an educator and co-founder, she continues to inspire a new generation of designers while leading impactful projects across diverse scales and typologies.
